Regulatory Notice
Information about Dotapay's brand, the licensed entities delivering regulated services, jurisdictional availability, and client protections.
Effective date: 17 April 2026 · Last updated: 17 April 2026
This notice explains how Dotapay is structured, which activities on this website are provided by licensed financial institutions, the basis on which those services are delivered, and the limits of Dotapay's own role. It should be read together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
1. Dotapay is a brand
"Dotapay" is a brand used to present and coordinate a set of financial and technology services. The Dotapay brand is operated by a parent holding company (the "Brand Operator").
Regulated financial services referenced on this website are not provided by the Brand Operator. They are provided by separately incorporated entities within the Dotapay group (each, a "Licensed Entity"), each of which holds its own authorisation from the financial regulator in its jurisdiction.
When you engage with a regulated service presented under the Dotapay brand, you contract with the specific Licensed Entity authorised to provide that service in the relevant jurisdiction. That Licensed Entity — and not the Brand Operator — is your counterparty for the purposes of the regulated activity.
2. Licensed entities and regulated activities
The Licensed Entities within the Dotapay group are authorised across the following jurisdictions:
Singapore — regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). Malaysia — regulated by the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC). United Arab Emirates — regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), operating within the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
The scope of authorised activity of each Licensed Entity is set out in that entity's licence and on the relevant regulator's public register. Regulated services are only offered in jurisdictions where the applicable Licensed Entity is permitted to do so, and only to clients who meet the eligibility and onboarding requirements of that Licensed Entity.
3. What the Brand Operator does not do
The Brand Operator does not itself hold a payment services licence, an e-money licence, a money services business licence, a capital markets services licence, or an equivalent authorisation in any jurisdiction.
The Brand Operator does not hold client money, execute foreign exchange as principal, provide remittance services, issue payment instruments, or carry on any other activity that requires authorisation from a financial regulator.
The Brand Operator's role is limited to brand stewardship, technology and integration services, group-level coordination, and the provision of non-regulated advisory services. Any advisory services provided by the Brand Operator are consultancy in nature and do not constitute financial advice, investment advice, or legal advice.
4. Identifying the licensed entity serving you
Before any regulated service is provided to you, the specific Licensed Entity that will serve you will be identified to you in writing, together with its full legal name, registered address, licence type, and regulator reference number. This information will also appear in the engagement documents you sign with that Licensed Entity.
If you would like this information before onboarding, you may request it at any time by contacting us at [email protected].
5. No advice
Information on this website is provided for general informational purposes only. Nothing on this website constitutes, or is intended to constitute, financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, tax advice, or a recommendation to enter into any transaction, use any product, or adopt any strategy.
You should obtain independent professional advice that takes into account your own circumstances before making any financial, legal, tax, or regulatory decision based on information appearing on this website.
6. Jurisdictional availability and eligibility
Services described on this website are not available in every country and are not offered to every person. Availability depends on the jurisdiction in which you are located, the jurisdiction of the entity you represent, the applicable Licensed Entity's authorisation, sanctions and export control regimes, and the outcome of customer due diligence conducted by that Licensed Entity.
This website and its contents are not intended for access or use by any person in any jurisdiction where such access or use would be contrary to applicable law or regulation, or where Dotapay or the applicable Licensed Entity would be subject to any registration, licensing, or authorisation requirement within that jurisdiction that it does not currently meet.
7. Marketing and communications
Content on this website is intended primarily for corporate, institutional, and professional audiences. It is not directed at retail consumers and is not a solicitation to retail clients for any regulated product or service.
Where a regulated product or service is marketed under the Dotapay brand, that marketing is carried out by, or on behalf of, the Licensed Entity authorised to provide the relevant service in your jurisdiction, in accordance with the advertising and communications rules applicable to that entity.
8. Client money and safeguarding
Where a Licensed Entity is permitted to receive or hold client money in connection with a regulated service, that client money is safeguarded in accordance with the rules applicable to that Licensed Entity in its jurisdiction of authorisation.
Client money is not held by the Brand Operator. The Brand Operator has no authority to hold, direct, or otherwise deal with client money on behalf of any Licensed Entity.
9. Data protection
Personal data collected through this website, or in the course of providing services under the Dotapay brand, is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the data protection laws applicable to the entity processing the data, which may include Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act, Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act, the DIFC Data Protection Law, and the EU General Data Protection Regulation where applicable.
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details of how personal data is collected, used, shared, and protected, and for information on your rights as a data subject.
10. Intellectual property
The Dotapay name, logo, and related marks are trade marks of the Brand Operator or its affiliates. All content on this website, including text, graphics, design, and code, is the property of the Brand Operator or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on this website without our prior written consent, other than temporary caching required for ordinary browsing.
11. Complaints
If you have a complaint about a regulated service you have received, it should in the first instance be directed to the Licensed Entity that provided the service, using the complaints handling procedure disclosed to you at onboarding.
You may also contact us at [email protected] and we will route your complaint to the appropriate Licensed Entity. Each Licensed Entity is subject to the complaints handling and dispute resolution frameworks of its home regulator, which may include recourse to an independent ombudsman or dispute resolution scheme in its jurisdiction.
12. Third-party references
References on this website to regulators, regulatory frameworks, laws, or other third parties are provided for descriptive purposes only. No such reference implies endorsement, approval, or authorisation by that regulator or third party of Dotapay, the Brand Operator, any Licensed Entity, or any service, except where an authorisation is expressly stated and verifiable on the regulator's public register.
Regulator names, acronyms, and related identifiers remain the property of the respective regulators.
